Currencies

Currencies are the basis of Foreign Exchange market. Until recently, forex trading in the currency market had been the domain of large financial institutions, corporations, central banks, hedge funds and extremely wealthy individuals. In the internet era it is possible for average investors to buy and sell currencies easily with the click of a mouse through online brokerage accounts. A currency future is a contract to exchange one currency for another at a specified date in the future at a price (exchange rate) that is fixed on the purchase date.

An investor sells a certain currency with relatively low interest rate and uses the funds to purchase a different currency yielding a higher interest rate.

DGCX futures contracts are cleared via Dubai Commodity Clearing Corporation (DCCC), removing counterparty credit risk and providing guaranteed settlement to each transaction. DGCX offers to trade these 16 currency pairs futures contracts with exceptionally low Initial Margin Requirements.
